Maintenance

The maintenance program planning in RAMoptim is based on maintenance kits. A maintenance kit can consist selected number of maintenance actions which are performed at the same point of time (regular maintenance interval or single maintenance times, or even both). Each action (eg. renewing of a pump) describes all resources and instructions needed to perform a specific maintenance task. The most important resource inputs are

  • duration of the task
  • number of needed repairers
  • wages
  • spare part costs
  • losses caused by downtime.

Based on the specified maintenance program RAMoptim calculates versatile and valuable results about

  • unavailability caused by maintenances
  • losses and costs caused by maintenances
  • needed human resources.
